Conductor, Concert Orchestra
Mr. Fukuda received his musical training at the Manhattan School of Music where he studied with Prof. Raphael Bronstein and his daughter Ariana Bronne as well as intensive chamber music coaching with Laurie Carney (American String Quartet). Mr. Fukuda was also a member of the Young Artists String Quartet as part of a fellowship program at U.C.S.B. Mr. Fukuda has lived in the South Bay since 1998. He has a private teaching studio and is on the adjunct faculty of the music department of Santa Clara University. In addition to his teaching schedule, Mr. Fukuda has spent time as a string coach with the following youth orchestras: San Jose Youth Symphony, PACO, El Camino Youth Symphony and Peninsula Youth Orchestra. He was a guest conductor of the Preparatory and Training orchestras of PACO during the 2001-2002 season. Mr. Fukuda has performed in the violin sections of Symphony Silicon Valley, Monterey Symphony, San Jose Symphony, Opera San Jose, San Jose Chamber Orchestra, The California Symphony, Reno Phiilharmonic, West Bay Opera, Stockton Symphony and the Pacific Chamber Symphony. He has spent the last ten summers serving on the faculty of the Cazadero Performing Arts Camp. This summer he is splitting his time between Music in the Mountains, The Mendocino Music Festival, Cazadero and SJYS camp.
