The Chamber Orchestra Performs Mozart, Kreisler, Goldmark, Weber and Beethoven
The San Jose Youth Symphony’s Chamber Orchestra, under the artistic leadership of Music Director and Conductor, Yair Samet, presents its Winter Concert to be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, 5 pm, at the Hammer Theatre Center, located at 101 Paseo de San Antonio, in downtown San Jose.
The orchestra will open the concert with Mozart’s lively The Impresario Overture, followed by performances featuring three soloists, who were winners of the Chamber Orchestra’s 2023 Concerto Competition, proudly sponsored by the San Jose Symphony Foundation.* Outstanding young soloists, Vanessa Seah, violinist, will perform Kreisler’s Praeludium and Allegro; Sebastian Nguyen, flutist, will perform Mozart’s Andante in C Major, and Sean Kang, clarinetist, will perform Weber’s Concertino, Op. 26. The orchestra will also perform Goldmark’s beautiful Scherzo for Orchestra and close with Beethoven’s sprightly Symphony No. 2 in D Major.
